Common questions
A course or section is missing or out of date
S40 ships with a copy of UOB's public course schedule. When you add a course, you can refresh it from UOB to get the latest sections. If it still isn't there, UOB may not have published it yet. You can always add it manually.
Why are credit hours marked as estimated?
UOB's public schedule doesn't publish credit hours, so S40 estimates them. Check your study plan and correct them in the course if needed.
Is my GPA official?
No. S40 follows UOB's published Study and Examinations Regulation, but its results and projections are estimates. Always confirm with UOB's official systems.
I'm not getting class reminders
Check Settings › Notifications › S40 on your iPhone, then Notifications in S40's More tab. Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they need your timetable to be set up in S40.
How do I switch between Arabic and English?
Use the language option in S40's More tab. If some system elements still show the old direction, close and reopen S40.
How do I delete my data?
Use Reset S40 in the More tab, or delete the app. S40 has no accounts or servers, so nothing is left elsewhere. See the privacy policy.
Is S40 made by the University of Bahrain?
No. S40 is an independent app made by students and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to UOB.
